I write novels and poems. Most of the fiction is speculative.

I seem to keep writing about people who discover that their world has been keeping something from them. Trails disappear. Old bargains come due. Someone wants an answer badly enough to keep going after the sensible thing would be to stop.

Some of my fiction appears under the name Drake Morgan.

My photography is mostly about people and travel.

I like portraits, and I rarely go anywhere new without a camera. The pictures help me remember what I actually noticed while I was there.

I spent eighteen years in public education, much of it doing communications for a school district. I now lead implementation projects in healthcare. I am also in law school.

I have both an MBA and an MFA. That combination makes perfect sense to me, even when it takes a minute to explain. My faith and my family come first.
